The Driving Force Pro had a stick-type sequential shifter, a wider 900 degree of steering angle, and a redesigned steering wheel with the buttons being moved in the more comfortable positions. The Driving Force was then superseded by the Driving Force Pro, released in December 2003. The wheel retained the single-motor-gear-driven force feedback mechanism, carried over from its predecessors. ![]() Other change include the use of optical encoder instead of potentiometer for steering position tracking. To ensure that it is completely playable on the PlayStation 2 console without the need of additional controller, the Driving Force has additional buttons that corresponds to the typical PlayStation button layout. ![]() ![]() The Logitech Driving Force is a racing wheel released by Logitech in September 2001.
